Nine ERPs. One Platform. Zero Audit Fines.

0 audit fines

Crane NXT is a global manufacturing and payment technology company headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, with approximately 5,000 employees operating across 15+ countries. The company runs nine separate ERPs across multiple semi-independent business units and undergoes regular M&A activity that continuously introduces new systems, country requirements, and organizational structures.

Crane NXT has used SAP Concur for 15+ years as the single platform connecting its fragmented financial environment. John Lovasz, Global Concur Administrator, has spent six years configuring and optimizing the platform across ERP migrations, acquisitions, and global expansions.

SAP Concur serves three core functions for Crane NXT:

Unification. Extract services feed expense data from Concur into all nine ERPs, eliminating manual keying and producing a single consolidated view of spend. The CFO receives one report instead of reconciling multiple conflicting sources across business units.

Compliance and audit readiness. Front-end audit rules prompt employees to attach receipts, explain policy exceptions, and correct errors before submission. The result: zero fines across the company's entire audit history in Concur, with a complete documentation trail available on demand.

Intelligence reporting. Custom and automated reports cover spend by category, department, and individual; credit card reconciliation for monthly accruals; potential duplicate and fraud detection; and personal charge monitoring. Burst and batch reporting automation eliminated recurring manual report runs for the administrator.

The platform also supports diverse traveler profiles, road warriors on five-to-six-week trips, field technicians buying hardware supplies, and executives approving reports from hotel rooms, through mobile receipt capture, corporate card feeds, and configurable MCC codes.

Crane NXT is planning to expand its Concur footprint with Concur Travel via Amex GBT/Egencia integration and Joule for conversational booking and policy lookup.

"My CFO can make decisions based on one report from one person instead of having to figure out three or four different reports that are reporting almost the same thing but not quite."

- John Lovasz, Global Concur Administrator, Crane NXT
