“Why I ride Bike MS” from Team Concur

We announced in June our co-sponsorship with the Singh Family Foundation of the Bike MS : Deception Pass Classic 2015 event. The event is held by The National MS Society, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on supporting those faced with the challenges of living with MS, including their communities, and funding research to combat this debilitating disease, facilitating education, among many other services.

This year’s event is less than three weeks away, happening on September 12-13, 2015 kicking off in Mount Vernon, Washington. We invite you to help us drive awareness about multiple sclerosis and fight this disease by joining as a physical rider, virtual rider or as a volunteer. You can join our team through a Concur employee you know and cycle with the 2,000 other cyclists at the event riding the scenic figure-eight route. The route options range from 22 to 97 miles that can be completed over the course of one or two days. If you cannot attend and do the ride, participate as a “virtual rider”. We are also seeking volunteers as well.

Not sure if you should join the fun? Hear why some members of Team Concur are riding Bike MS:

Barry Padgett, Chief Product Officer at Concur, on why he rides Bike MS: “I support Bike MS because I have close personal friends who have been affected by MS, and I have seen what the disease can do to them and their families. If riding my bike 97 miles is going to help find a cure, I think it’s the least I can do.” Barry Padgett, Concur CMO on why he rides Bike MS

Bradley W. Young IV, Client Success Manager at Concur, on why he rides Bike MS: “I’ve had people in my life suffer from the condition and seen firsthand how MS not only effects the person with the condition, but their families and friends as well.  I’m riding the whole 97 because every mile of achy muscles and pushing myself to the limit is a small price to pay for raising awareness in the community and raising money for the cure.” Brad Young on why he rides Bike MS

Carina Booth, CSR Coordinator at Concur, on why she rides Bike MS: “I support Bike MS because MS needs a cure and Bike MS is a great way for me to be part of the movement and mission to find one. The sore legs I will leave that weekend with will not even compare to the 2.5 million people living with MS every day.” Carina Booth on why she rides Bike MS

Simon Guest, VP of Platform R&D at Concur, on why he rides Bike MS: “To support my Mom (who has MS) and the millions of others affected by the disease.” Simon Guest Bike MS Team Concur
