Exciting startup tripBAM, which offers automation and service to companies seeking hotel program savings, has joined the Concur App Center this week. The Dallas-based company, only 18 months old, made a notable impact on the business travel industry this summer by winning the Business Travel Supplier Innovation Award at the Business Travel News Group's inaugural Innovate conference in New York just after Labor Day.
tripBAM uses patent-pending “cluster” shopping processes to find savings on traveler hotel stays. Half of America’s top travel management companies (TMCs) are tripBAM users. In fact, some of Concur’s largest corporate clients are in trials with tripBAM currently, and two Concur Travel Partners, BCD Travel and Travel Solutions by Campbell, have shared their tales of their success with tripBAM in travel industry publications.
tripBAM’s services add diversity to the hotel procurement marketplace
Since our initial announcement that tripBAM would be available via the Concur App Store, Concur clients and partners have inquired about timing of access to tripBAM’s services. Now tripBAM has arrived in the App Center with a streamlined process in place. With indications that hotel rates and ancillary fees are on the rise, the new offering answers a desire for increased diversity in the hotel procurement marketplace.
The 2015 corporate hotel RFP season is now underway and some corporate travel managers and industry analysts have already noted shifting hotel costs. Advito's forecast, published earlier this month, noted that North American companies with underdeveloped travel programs risk rate increases in 2015. STR projected in August that the average daily rate in America’s top 25 markets will increase in 2015. Corporate travel managers and TMCs are looking to diverse offerings in the market to supplement their travel management programs.
The tripBAM integration contributes to the diversity of platform connections Concur is able to offer its clients and opens the possibility for those Concur customers already using tripBAM to let their data flow directly into Concur’s reporting tools.
