Thank You to Administrative Assistants Everywhere

“No one who achieves success does so without acknowledging the help of others.

The wise and confident acknowledge this help with gratitude.”

Every company or organization has at least one of these top-performers in their midst. Troubleshooters, negotiators and traffic cops, they’re known to be highly organized, personable and productive. Jugglers, smooth operators and occasional lion tamers—they’re some of the most helpful people in your company. Known for their ability to organize their time as well as others’, they’re also great communicators. They often get hundreds of emails a day, each with a specific request requiring a specialized answer.

These are the people who know the organization inside and out. You can go to them for any answer and you will rarely stump them. They either know the answer or know who to ask. When was the company founded? What is our expense policy? How do you order office supplies?

Recognize someone? Most likely, it’s the person in your office or organization known as the secretary, the administrative assistant or the executive assistant. In other words: the person who gets things done. With over 4 million administrative assistants in just the U.S. alone, that’s a lot of things getting done. From scheduling a meeting, to getting something signed, to keeping track of ever-changing travel arrangements, to submitting your expense report on time so you get reimbursed quickly, these are the people who roll up their sleeves and see the project through.

Most likely, with the downturn in the economy these last few years, their role and responsibility has grown in your company while the amount of time in their day has remained the same. Their devotion and productivity make a huge positive impact on your business.

We all have these people in our offices who make our days brighter and our workload easier. Be sure to let them know how much they mean to you. Your company or organization would be nothing without them.

Thank them for their hard work, dedication and ability to make everything they do look so easy.
