Jewel, the acclaimed American singer, songwriter, actress, poet, painter, philanthropist, and daughter to an Alaskan cowboy singer-songwriter, will speak at Concur Fusion 2014 in New Orleans at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Friday, May 9, 2014.
We’re excited to host Jewel on the final morning of Concur Fusion as she speaks about her life’s journey from rural Alaska to acclaimed singer/songwriter with over 27 million albums sold. She will explore the challenges she faced during her struggles to start a career, including living in her car as she refused to give up on her dream of becoming a hit singer. The lessons learned have given her new perspective and were the impetus for her starting Project Clean Water, a charitable organization designed to ensure everyone around the world has access to clean water. Her speech inspires audiences and takes a look inside the mind of a true musical poet.
Project Clean Water
Near and dear to Jewel’s heart is her charitable initiative, Project Clean Water founded in 1997. Having experienced homelessness as a teenager, Jewel learned firsthand the difficulties of obtaining clean water. A domestic and global issue, she has been relentless in her efforts to bring safe water to those in need and create awareness of clean water shortages around the world. Jewel will share her commitment to Project Clean Water with us at Fusion as well as the gift of her singing talent. We can’t wait! More About Fusion
