Jason Day wins his first major at PGA Championship

Concur is proud to congratulate our brand ambassador and PGA TOUR golfer, Jason Day, on his hard-earned triumph at the PGA Championship this past weekend. His victory at Whistling Straits Golf Course secured his first major win of his career and catapulted him to third in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Entering the tournament with mental tenacity and confidence from his recent win at the RBC Canadian Open, Day overcame the young favorite Jordan Spieth. Demonstrating his relentless commitment to win, he birdied four of his first seven holes in the final round to establish a lead and persevered with composure to claim the Wanamaker Trophy. Day became the first ever to finish at 20 under par, breaking the record set by Tiger Woods at the 2000 British Open.

After a summer of close finishes at the U.S. Open and The Open, his well-deserved, emotional finish at the PGA Championship marks an unforgettable moment for Jason Day, his mentor and caddie of fifteen years, Colin Swatton and Day’s family.

With his fifth PGA TOUR win and third consecutive major top 10 finish, Concur is proud to sponsor Jason Day as he establishes his legacy as a golfer, father, husband and philanthropist. In addition to his success as a golfer, his unparalleled character and humility align with Concur’s core values and make him a clear choice to represent Concur on and off the golf course. Concur is honored to have sponsored Jason Day for over one year and we look forward to supporting him in his determined quest to become the number one golfer in the world.
