Concur is excited to congratulate Concur brand ambassador and PGA Tour golfer Jason Day on his victory at the RBC Canadian Open! Jason redefines the notion of a champion with his relentless commitment to win, focus on teamwork, and dedication to giving back. On their way to the U.S. Open in June, Jason Day and his wife Ellie stopped by Concur headquarters to join us for a service project to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of King County and Blessings in a Backpack. After an engaging Q&A with Jason and Ellie, hundreds of Concur employees, our President, Elena Donio, and CMO, Jerame Thurik, gave Jason a warm sendoff to the 2015 U.S. Open. We cheered him on throughout the week as he battled vertigo.
While concluding Saturday of the tournament tied for first, he ultimately tied for ninth. His grit and determination made him a crowd favorite despite not hoisting the trophy. A few weeks later, Jason proved himself a strong contender again at The Open, where he entered the final round as co-leader and finished tied for fourth. His tenacity paid off at the RBC Canadian Open the following week, where he made an eagle in the first round, high-fiving excited fans, and sunk three consecutive birdies in a remarkable finish. On the 18th hole, he stopped to shake the hand of a servicewoman before capturing his fourth PGA Tour win and second tournament win of the year, celebrating with his family and caddie.
Concur is proud to partner with Jason Day as he perseveres toward his goal of becoming the number one golfer in the world. We look forward to sponsoring Jason and Ellie’s Brighter Days Foundation Invitational on August 2nd and 3rd.
