Concur’s leadership and innovation continues to set the pace for corporate travel and technology
Redmond, Wash., April 3, 2008 – Concur (Nasdaq: CNQR), the world’s leading provider of on-demand business services that automate Employee Spend Management, today announced a five year commitment to the NBTA Foundation, making it the first technology company to become an NBTA Foundation Premier Partner. Concur’s yearly commitment of $50,000 will benefit the NBTA Foundation’s efforts to enhance educational and research offerings that help advance the entire corporate travel industry.
“One of the most important responsibilities of industry leaders is to help build the foundation upon which the entire industry can succeed," said Steve Singh, chairman and CEO of Concur. "The NBTA Foundation demonstrates this leadership every day through their dedication to addressing the needs, challenges and demands of the entire business travel industry by providing crucial educational opportunities and research. Concur is proud to support the NBTA Foundation in any way we can, and we encourage our fellow technology providers to join us in supporting their efforts.”
Singh – one of Business Travel News’ 25 Most Influential Executives Of The Business Travel Industry for 2007 – was also recently appointed to the NBTA Foundation Board of Trustees. “The NBTA Foundation (www.nbtafoundation.org) is grateful to Concur for enabling Steve to bring his business travel expertise and leadership to the Foundation’s Board,” said Fay Beauchine, Chair of NBTA Foundation Board of Trustees Chair. “Concur’s commitment to the advancement of corporate travel research and education was demonstrated again when the company jumped at the opportunity to become a Premier Partner in the NBTA Foundation’s new Partnership Initiative. Concur is the first technology company to support the initiative with a significant donation that will help the Foundation become self-sustaining in its mission to advance the industry through advanced education and research.”
With the recent addition of fellow NBTA Foundation Board Member and NBTA Chairman/Past President Suzanne Fletcher to the Concur team as the Director of Travel Management, Concur continues to demonstrate its deep and enduring commitment to setting the pace in corporate travel and technology. Fletcher’s industry knowledge and leadership will assist her in managing Concur’s global travel service relationships, both internally and externally, playing a critical role in continuing to build out Concur® Connect, a global program that connects travel suppliers from around the world to Concur’s clients and over $35 billion in employee spend.
Concur’s industry leadership is also apparent through its commitment to relentless innovation. Concur® Travel & Expense – released in North America last year – is now available in Europe. The world’s only truly global, end-to-end travel booking and expense reporting solution, Concur Travel & Expense makes business travel easier and more efficient by uniting the travel booking and expense reporting processes into one seamless experience.
