TripIt integration, travel request capabilities and additional rail content make the travel booking process easier
Redmond, Wash. – June 1, 2011 – Concur (Nasdaq: CNQR), a leading provider of integrated travel and expense management solutions, today announced new travel functionality including TripIt integration with Concur’s travel booking tool to help organize and share travel plans, comprehensive travel request functionality for pre-trip and expenses approval, and additional rail partnerships for integrated rail content, giving business travelers the right information at the right time to help them make informed travel decisions.
Already recognized as the market leader for integrated travel booking and expense reporting technology, Concur’s continuous innovation delivers monthly updates automatically at no additional charge to Concur clients. Notable recent innovations for Concur’s travel solution include:
- TripIt Integration – Concur’s business travel solution can now be easily integrated to TripIt making travelers’ lives easier. After completing a one-time authorization, business travelers can have their Concur travel plans automatically synch with their TripIt account creating a central itinerary that’s accessible on smart phones and online. Now, travelers will have their travel plans – including all trips booked through Concur, along with other plans like dining, meetings, activities and more – all in one TripIt itinerary.
- Travel Request – A new solution from Concur that can be used by itself, with Travel, or with Expense allows users to request authorization for travel plans and expenses up front. This new functionality streamlines trip planning and expense reporting, assuring that employee travel plans are tracked accurately and the travel policy is maintained. Now, information flows freely between a user’s travel request, online booking session, travel agent and an expense report.
- Rail Partnerships – New UK rail content from thetrainline.com can now be accessed through Concur’s travel booking tool. Clients can easily add rail to their travel plans the same way they already book air, car or hotel reservations. With rail content from leading providers including thetrainline.com, Amtrak, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF and VIA rail, users can compare air and rail options – all from one screen.
“We’re focused on making the lives of business travelers easier,” said Rajeev Singh, president and COO of Concur. “TripIt integration with our online booking tool is a logical next step for a better travel experience. In addition, clients across EMEA and Asia need travel request capabilities as part of their end-to-end process for approval before travel and expenses occur. Through our continuous innovations, we continue to deliver significant value for our clients.”
