Concur and Sixt announce partnership

Today in Berlin at GBTA Conference 2014, Concur announced a partnership with Sixt, global provider of high-quality mobility solutions. The partnership makes it easier for business travelers to achieve the Perfect Trip by linking their Concur and Sixt profiles to enable direct bookings with Sixt while maintaining compliance with their company’s travel and expense policies. Sixt data will flow back to Concur to automatically populate travel and expense reports. For business travellers, this means greater flexibility during the booking process. And for companies this means more visibility into spend no matter where it happens. Finance and travel managers simultaneously receive a clear overview of all bookings, even if these are made directly through Sixt.

The linking of Sixt and Concur user profiles allows business travellers to enjoy great added benefits:

More choice: the business traveller is free to decide whether to book via Concur Travel or directly through Sixt. With TripLink the traveller can combine the various booking channels in a single accounting system. This means that the traveller has incredible flexibility in the choice of his or her preferred booking channel.

Cost benefits: With Concur TripLink, business travelers benefit from their company’s negotiated rates, regardless of where they book the trip. Companies have a simple overview of all bookings and spend. This information can then be used to create travel policies and security guidelines.

Improved risk management: By combining bookings from various booking channels, companies know where their employees are at all times, making it easier for a company to fulfil its duty of care obligations.

“Offering its clients a stress-free and pleasant travel experience using innovative and comprehensive solutions beyond simple car hire is very important to Sixt,” says Konstantin Sixt, Managing Director of Sixt SE. “For that reason we are very pleased about our partnership with business travel and expense specialist Concur. This will give our shared customers as much flexibility as possible when choosing their preferred booking channel while simultaneously consolidating data into a single system. This increases user acceptance while making the process significantly more efficient and reducing overall costs.”

“We are proud to have gained the leading international provider of mobility services as a Concur TripLink partner,” says Rajeev Singh, President and Chief Operating Officer at Concur. “Sixt is thereby highlighting its innovative role on the business travel market, and together we can meet the increased need for greater transparency and flexibility in the travel booking process. Hire cars are an important and core part of the perfect business trip, and this partnership with Sixt will allow us to offer our shared clients full flexibility when booking, while continuing  to benefit from company discounts and other advantages.“
