A Change in Our EMEA Organisation

A blog post by Isabel Montesdeoca, Concur’s new Senior Vice President and General Manager for EMEA

Today we announce a change in Concur’s EMEA organisation. As of this week, I will be taking over the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager for EMEA from my colleague Barry Padgett.

Barry has led Concur’s business in EMEA since April 2009, and in that time has presided over a period of significant growth for the company in the region with the acquisitions of Etap Online in France and GlobalExpense in the UK, and the launch of our new Concur Breeze product in the UK. He returns to our global headquarters in Redmond to take on a senior leadership role in our platform division, a key strategic priority for the company.

For me, it’s an exciting time to step into the role of General Manager for EMEA, as Concur continues to grow its regional footprint and provide solutions to companies of all sizes. One example of this is welcoming the GlobalExpense team’s core strengths in receipt validation, VAT and income tax compliance. These deep specialist areas are a huge addition to what we can offer UK customers.

Before stepping into this role at Concur, I was Vice President of Marketing for EMEA, focused on constructing Concur’s marketing function in the region to support growth in the UK, Italy, Germany, France, Benelux and the Nordics, and increasing Concur’s brand visibility as a whole.

I look forward to taking the next steps in Concur’s journey in Europe, and to meeting many more people in the industry in the coming weeks and months.
