Concur is proud to have sponsored the inaugural Brighter Days Foundation Invitational, hosted by PGA Tour golfer, Jason Day, and his wife Ellie Day at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio last week.
On Sunday, August 2nd, Concur Corporate Social Responsibility Director, Linda Peffer, and Concur Vice President of Sales, Todd Pelletier, along with two Concur clients played a once-in-a-lifetime round of golf with Jason Day. During the round, Jason gave golf pointers while the group played the famed Jack Nicklaus golf course. Later that evening, Jason and Ellie Day hosted two hundred of their friends, family and guests at a cocktail reception, dinner and auction at the Muirfield Village clubhouse. As the festivities began, animals, including kangaroo and baby snow leopards, from the Columbus Zoo delighted guests. The event concluded with an intimate, outdoor concert featuring country singer Kip Moore.
On Monday, Concur employees and our guests, along with celebrity guests participated in a golf invitational and awards reception. Over 40 celebrities attended to support the Brighter Days Foundation, including PGA Tour golfer and The Open champion, Zach Johnson, Ohio State head football coach, Urban Meyer, and country music artist, Jake Owen.
The event surpassed expectations by raising a quarter-million dollars to benefit the Brighter Days Foundation and five Ohio nonprofit organizations: Children’s Hunger Alliance, Community Kitchen Inc, Dublin Food Pantry, Ohio FFA Association and Welcome Warehouse. Concur is humbled to have been the presenting sponsor of the Brighter Days Foundation’s first fundraising event and is proud to support the Day family as they give back to their own community. Concur looks forward to helping those in need by partnering with Jason and Ellie Day in future Brighter Days charity events and supporting charities in the greater Seattle area. Choosing Jason Day as our brand ambassador is a clear choice because he shares our commitment to giving back.
