Bike MS 2015—moving together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis

It’s no secret that Concur officially became part of the SAP family last December. Having joined SAP represents the next step in the Concur journey, a pivot that will enable us to deliver even greater value and service to our customers, partners and organizations around the world. We continue to reimagine the way the world should work in the digital economy and beyond.

Last year, 100 cyclists of varying skills and ages, arriving from Washington, California and beyond, lined up at the starting gates of the Bike MS: Deception Pass Classic event with a single goal in mind:moving together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. Our generous donors helped us fundraise over $155,000 for the cause. Highlights included a few of our fearless leaders including Concur CEO, Steve Singh, Concur CFO, Frank Pelzer and co-founder Mike Hilton riding the hilly route.

We are pleased to report our continued our support of The National MS Society through our involvement with the Bike MS: Deception Pass Classic 2015 event. This year, Concur is the co-presenting sponsor of the Bike MS event along with the Singh Family Foundation, taking place on September 12-13, 2015. The National MS Society is a 501(c)(3) organization with a comprehensive network that helps those faced with the challenges of living with MS, “funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.” After such a successful event in 2014, we have set new goals to achieve for this year:we hope to have 250 riders participating as well as fundraising $250,000 to move toward a world free of MS. Can we do it? Yes! But it will only be possible with your help and participation.

We invite you help us fight this debilitating disease by participating in this unforgettable, two-day journey through Skagit, Whatcom and Island Counties. The first way you can get involved is to join our team with a Concur employee and bicycle with us and 2,000 other riders on the scenic figure-eight courses ranging from 22 to 97 miles. Or join as a volunteer in the Concur event tent to encourage our fearless riders! If you cannot make it to the event in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S., you can still show your support by serving as a “virtual rider”, or offering financial support towards the fundraising goal of by donating to a rider. Please enjoy the Concur registration discount by using the CONCUR discount code when registering online. If you are one of the lucky first 100 registrants, you will have 100% of your registration fee waived! If you are one of the next 50, you will receive 50% off their registration, with the following 50 receiving 25% off of their registration fee.

Like Concurian, Jody Wilkins, aptly said last year, ”Because until there’s a cure for MS, and as long as there are people willing to ask ‘How should the world work?’ the least the rest of us can do is put on a jersey and ride.”
