Expense Tracking on Your Mobile Phone

posted by: Nancy Lyons Callahan, 11-01-10 7:34:16

Where did that receipt go? You invited a client out to dinner, grabbed the receipt, tucked it in a safe place. But now that you’re ready to do your expense report, you can’t find that pesky receipt anywhere...and your company really, really needs that receipt to manage and track expenses.

We’ve had those moments, and those lost receipts, too. That’s why we looked to the device that we’re already carrying around with us everyday to help out: our smartphones. Now managing expenses can be done as quickly as snapping a picture.

With Mobile, Expense Management is Done Anytime. Anywhere.

Whether you work at a small business or a big one, the adaptability and portability of Concur for smartphones means that you can manage expenses anytime. Anywhere. Sitting in the airport? Leaving the restaurant? Heading to the office supply store? No problem.

Using Your Mobile for Expense Tracking

Concur for smartphones is available to you if your company uses Concur Expense (or Concur Travel & Expense) for larger organizations or Concur Breeze for smaller ones. No matter the size of your company, both users enjoy the same mobile expense management benefits: the ability to enter expenses, attach receipts, submit an expense report and approve an expense report right from your smartphone.

Using Your Mobile for Travel Management

Now, mobile workers can view trips, get 1-touch directions, reserve a hotel, car, or taxi, and obtain helpful information about airports, flight status and public transportation from around the world.

Save Time by Logging Expenses on Your Mobile: Here’s How to Download the App

Regardless of whether you or your employees have different phones, mobile expense management is a click away. Concur for smartphones is available for iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Android. The application is free and getting started takes less than 10 minutes. When you log in, the app figures out who you are and knows whether to present Concur Travel and Expense or Concur Breeze on your phone, depending on what your company uses.

Getting Started with Concur Travel and Expense

1. Concur Travel & Expense users should open the Concur Home page in a browser.

2. Click on Profile then Mobile Registration.

3. Create and confirm a mobile PIN.

4. Follow the instructions for downloading the application.

5. After downloading the application, log into the mobile application on your phone using your Concur User Name/Email Address and mobile PIN. If you are unsure of your Concur User Name, go back to the Mobile Registration page where you will find your User Name in the first paragraph.

6. Now you can start managing and tracking expenses with ease.

Getting Started with Concur Breeze

1.  Concur Breeze users should sign in at the Breeze home page.

2.  Then click on My Account.

3.  Click on Mobile PIN.

4.  Create and confirm a mobile PIN and follow the instructions for downloading the application.

5.  After downloading the application, log into the mobile application using your Concur Breeze User Name/Email Address and mobile PIN.

6.  You’ll be able to start managing expenses right away.

We think you’ll find Concur for smartphones an easy way to manage your expense reports. Plus, it’s adaptable to your business. We also think it’ll help you save time: you’ll never have to spend an hour trying to track down a missing receipt again.

Windows Phone 7 app please!

Posted by Anonymous (04-30-12)

PLEASE! Release windows phone app. My company has over 3,000 users on Concur and all have windows phones. Concur is VERY expensive service to not have this functionality. Concur is embedded in GP so obviously there is some sort of relationship with Microsoft that can be leveraged to make this happen.
Exactly how many users have to ask before this becomes a priority?????

Please give a Windows Phone 7 app

Posted by Anonymous (04-26-12)

Just bought a Lumia 900 and waiting for the Concur app. Where's the love for Windows Phone?

Posted by Anonymous (04-22-12)

There is a large adoption of Windows Phone 7.5 with the new Nokia Lumia 900. Please release Windows Phone 7.5 support for the Concor app. Thank you

+1 WP7 app

Posted by Anonymous (04-19-12)

Another request for Windows Phone App. Oh, wait, I'm the decision maker so no Concur for my company until it has a Windows Phone App.

Posted by Anonymous (04-17-12)

Here is another request for windows phone app. www.mobilityminded.com

Posted by Anonymous (04-11-12)

I need WP7 version as well. Would you like me to write it for you?

Posted by Anonymous (04-11-12)

Is Nokia completely vanished from the radar? I would appreciate a nokia symbian version as well.

Posted by Anonymous (04-10-12)

Another request for a Window Phone version. Windows 8 is on the horizon guys and with it will come Metro Tablets, desktop OS and new phones. The Nokia 900 is selling pretty well. I know it's not going to usurp the iPhone, but I think we've reached a critical mass folks. At least throw us a bone and commit to developing the app.

Posted by Anonymous (04-10-12)

Me too for windoze app.

Posted by Anonymous (04-03-12)

Yep, another vote for WP7. Great app, just need it for the upcoming platform.

Posted by Anonymous (04-03-12)

And ANOTHER vote for Windows Phone! Ask the TripIt guys, they'll get you started!!

Posted by Anonymous (03-22-12)

Still waiting on a Windows Phone app! Windows Phone is the EASIEST mobile platform to develop for, so I have no idea why you guys are dragging your feet! Microsoft gives you FREE API mapping tools to port iOS/Android apps to Windows Phone!

http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_phone/b/wpdev/archive/2011/04/29/leveraging-your-iphone-development-expertise-to-build-windows-phone-7-applications.aspx

You have a TripIt! app, and it is fantastic... get with it on Concur!

Posted by Anonymous (03-22-12)

Another vote for Windows Phone 7(.5)!

Posted by Anonymous (03-05-12)

Dear Concur R&D department, it looks like the "R"esearch has been taken care of... THERE IS a market for WinMo 7 users!!! Now let's get the "D"evelopment - side done! Thanks!!!

Posted by Concur (02-27-12)

We wanted you to know that we’re listening, and appreciate your enthusiasm and passion for Windows Phone 7. Thanks to our customers, many of our innovations that end up in our products come from this community. We will share your comments with R&D and let them know about your request. Please know that we are constantly researching, surveying, and studying new smartphone platforms.

Thank you all for reaching out to us.

I am a Windows phone user, I need the Concur app ASAP! is this available?

Posted by Anonymous (02-24-12)

Any release date for Concur for Windows phone?

Posted by Anonymous (02-22-12)

Also need it for Windows phone

Posted by Anonymous (02-21-12)

Another vote for WP7.5.
Concur, are you listening, or do I need to write the interface for your API for you?

Posted by Anonymous (02-14-12)

Well, not that it will do any good, but here's ANOTHER vote for Windows phone 7.5
Come on Concur, you spent some time to develop TripIt for the platform (thank you!), so let's get on a Concur Mobile app! Yes, we can use the web, but an app would make things so much better!

At least let us know it's in the works, please!!!!

Posted by Anonymous (02-11-12)

Windows Phone 7 needs your app ASAP - PLEASE!

Posted by Anonymous (01-30-12)

Another request for windows 7 mob!

Posted by Anonymous (01-24-12)

Yet another vote for Windows Phone 7.5.
We need this app! This is the phone for serious business.

Maybe we sould take our 10k employees using Concur elsewhere.

Posted by Anonymous (01-23-12)

It would be great if we could create unique profiles and pledge our support for a Windows Phone 7 version but this blog doesn't offer that option so idiot pinheads are going to keep claiming that all of these requests come from the same person. There are tens of millions of Windows Phones on the market and the number is growing rapidly thanks to the beautiful new devices from Nokia. We really want this app on our phones please.

Posted by Anonymous (01-23-12)

Please bring this app to Windows Phone 7. Device sales are really picking up and Nokia's new Lumia series is a huge hit. It's time to support the platform. Please!

Posted by Anonymous (01-18-12)

good

Posted by Anonymous (01-17-12)

I new vote for windows pls

Posted by Anonymous (12-08-11)

Another vote for concur needing to develop for windows phone 7. Much needed!

Posted by Anonymous (11-29-11)

SO, now you have a Windows Phone 7 app - thank you!!! This is greatly appreciated. Now you need to update it to provide the same level of service as you do in your other platform apps.

1. You need to mangofy the app
2. Need to include expense tracking, upload
3. Provide access to flight schedules, etc. for business users.

Come on chaps, coding on this platform is easier than any other platform - these are simple requests. Let's get cracking!

Posted by Anonymous (11-18-11)

We also have 100's of Windows Phoen 7 and need these supported(Not Dell).

Posted by Anonymous (11-02-11)

Is this app going to be available for the windows 7 phone? How can it not be available as this is the preferred business phone choice????

Posted by Anonymous (10-09-11)

We at Dell are telling our managers about Concur not supporting Win7 and asking them to consider another source for expenses. We request this often because all field people are now using Win7 as Dell has standardized on this platform. Concur, you had better pay attention!

Posted by Anonymous (09-21-11)

i think this is great application for business phone. but when it would be available in Window's version

Posted by Anonymous (09-18-11)

What about https://expenselink.gelco.com users? Can we use the mobile (BB/iPhone) apps to capture receipt images, as well?

Posted by Anonymous (09-16-11)

I think the same guy wrote all these statements about Windows Phone above.

And by the way, he's the only guy in the world using it.

Posted by Anonymous (09-11-11)

Well... I guess it might be hot air to Concur, but another request for Windows Phone 7

Posted by Anonymous (09-10-11)

WP7 support please. Most phones in my company are now WP7.

Posted by Anonymous (08-30-11)

Definitely need a WP7 app.

Posted by Anonymous (08-23-11)

WP7 PLEASE!!!

Posted by Anonymous (08-09-11)

Windows Phone 7 support is urgenly needed. This is disappointingly short sighted for Concur. I urge you to reconsider your development priorities please.

Posted by Anonymous (08-08-11)

Another request for Windows Mobile 7... Dell is a very large Concur customer and corporate wide the company is moving to the Dell Venue Pro with Windows Mobile 7.

Posted by Anonymous (08-05-11)

Yes aupport for WP7 would be welcome. Or develop in HTML5 and cover the major mobile platforms with one product development effort.

Posted by Anonymous (08-05-11)

Stunning. Well, there are other services that I can use.

Posted by Anonymous (08-05-11)

These statements from Concur are an absolute contradiction.
1) Our relationships with each of our customers is of paramount importance to us at Concur.

2) We recognize and honor that many companies have chosen Windows Phone 7 as their platform of choice.

3) We do not currently support Windows phones and it is not in our short term roadmap to do so.

This does not compute. Statements 2+3 equal the opposite of 1.

Therefor until Concur changes statement 3 to read:
"Windows phones are on our short term roadmap."

Concur is actually saying:
"Our relationships with each of our customers are of very little importance to us at Concur.

Posted by Anonymous (07-30-11)

Another request for Windows Phone 7 support. You are going to lose a lot of business if you don't address this in the next few months. Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) is what a lot of companies have been waiting for to transition to this platform, and it looks like it will make its fall release on schedule. That is when I'll be making the switch. Is Concur going to be left behind?

Posted by Anonymous (07-29-11)

Here is another Enterprise User who is frustrated with no announcment or statement of plans to support Windows Phone 7. With the "Mango" Update now released to manufacturers and an expected of 2nd generation devices on the market in just a few weeks it is time to get an App out there...

Posted by Anonymous (07-07-11)

Thats just sad .... guess i will be looking for another provider. Without WP7 support i just don't see nay value in concur services
